Department of Mechanical Engineering is started in the year 2009. The department has been establishing itself as one of the best departments in SVECW with the latest equipment. The department of Mechanical Engineering is offering only U.G programe and is being developed with the well equipped laboratories and provides excellent facilities for learning. Department actively participating in organizing seminars, symposium, workshops and guest lectures for the benefit of both the students and the faculty.
MISSION
The technology available to a mechanical engineer is changing. Metal is being replaced by plastic, dull grey by brightly splashed colour. Driven by superior analysis, the designs are undergoing deeper, functional change. The resulting devices are emerging increasingly sleek and sophisticated, the tremendous complexity of design hidden under the fabric of simplicity of use.
The mission of the department is to develop competent, efficient & and quality Mechanical Engineers who can reach the Industry Expectations in the current trend and to enrich knowledge and encourage the students to become Entrepreneurs. It has a goal to be a center of excellence for development and dissemination of knowledge in Technology and Engineering for the nation and beyond.
DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVE:
Today, the world of mechanical engineering at large is facing dramatic changes under the influence of advanced computational tools, vastly improved simulation and analysis, and entirely different manufacturing protocols.

- To Carry out the Research work in latest Trends of Technology
- To meet the challenge of faculty obsolescence in educational institutions, rowing emphasis on continuing education is stressed, with more pragmatic and more practical emphasis on curricula to meet the challenges of change

- CNC machining in the field of automated production by establishing the research centre in field of modern manufacturing methods
- Establish the department as a renowned research center to fulfill the needs of the rural student community
- Aim to achieve more number of research publications
