Dr.
D.R. Raju, former Principal of S.V.U. College of Engineering,
Tirupati, obtained his Masters degree from Indian Institute
of Science, Bangalore and Ph.D., from Indian Institute of
Technology, Kharagpur.
He served Sri Venkateswara University in various capacities
including the principal of its university Engineering college
for more than three decades. He also worked as Principal
/ Director of one of the prestigious Institutions in Bangalore
for more than six years before assuming charge as founder
Director of this Institute. He retired on 31st March 2011 and resumed charge as Academic Adviser.
He is a recipient of Best Teacher Award
from Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. He is a Fellow, Institution
of Engineers, Member IEEE, and was a member of several
National Committees dealing with Technical Education and
Recruitment including A.I.C.T.E. and U.P.S.C.
